Mile 15379

We leave this morning Talkeetna, AK with a lot of clouds over our head and no mountains to see.  After a quick stop at Talkeetna's Railroad Depot which is a stop for the famous Denali Star Train Route from Seward, AK to Fairbanks, AK, we return to the George Parks Highway and make our way toward Anchorage, AK.

At the seaplane base in Willow, AK at the Willow Lake we must make a stop to study those little sea planes.  I figure if this is the only means to get there I may be persuaded to get into one of those, otherwise to stick to ground travel.

They are really small those seaplanes

From there we head to Palmer, Ak in the Matanuska Valley, just short of Anchorage, but with a perfect view to the Pioneer and Twin Peaks in the Chugach Range.
