Today we take it easy, it is raining when we get up here in Hinton, AB and therefor there is no need to rush anything. After breakfast we drive back to Jasper, AB to pay a visit to the town which suffered a major destruction during the 2024 wildfire.
We are surprised to see how much of the town has been rebuilt, but also how much the town has grown since we visited it 2014. We like the way the town development is going, incorporating very much of the First Nation heritage into it, and creating a huge awareness that Jasper N.P. is native land. When the rain finally catches up with us here we decide to drive back to the Miette Hot Springs, because getting wet from the top when soaking in the hot mineral spring water doesn't matter really.
We have a relaxing soaking in the warm water and close the day with a visit to the Folding Mountain Brewing Company for some good beer and some better dry rub ribs.
